No, and no consultancy can. Certificates are issued only by an accredited certification body, which must be independent of the organisation that built the system. What we do is consulting, implementation, internal auditing and certification readiness — so that when the accredited body audits you, they find a working management system rather than a folder. Treat any consultant who offers to certify you as a warning sign.
Scope depends on your size, listing status and turnover, and it has moved as the directive has been amended — so the first step is confirming whether and when you are in scope. After that the sequence is: double materiality assessment, gap analysis against the relevant ESRS, then data collection with an audit trail. The materiality assessment comes first because it determines what you have to report at all.
